Founders are Intenda Foundation Youth Council of Slovakia , SRVS – civil society and the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic.
Establishment Intenda Foundation was the culmination of several years of effort, developed especially Youth Council of Slovakia, the meaningful use of assets of the former Socialist Youth Union ( SZM ) in favor of young people in Slovakia.
After 1989, the property was expropriated SZM constitutional law and was created by Children and Youth Foundation , where the property was added. This foundation has been repealed and then in 1993 created a state fund for children and youth. The Fund was to manage state property , perform tasks while the third sector was constituted as a business entity. However the Fund ” famous ” activities that the rich assets SZM fraudulently drained its significant part. The essential idea of creating a foundation that was founded in 2001, became the Slovak Youth Council, Student Higher Education Council and the Ministry of Education, was the effort to save at least a fragment of the assets of a former truck unit , which has not yet been disadvantageous to sell out. The Foundation was registered 07.18.2001 under number 203 / Na- 96 / 621 Appointing mission of the Foundation has been through support specific activities render the individual personal development of young people, encourage youth participation in decision-making and to contribute constructively to solve the current needs of young people.
Government approved in 2001, the transfer of state property management of the Fund for Children and Youth Foundation . Transfer of property proceeds until the end of 2005. Total assets transferred consisted of 28 real estate and 100 percent stake in the joint-stock company Youth Hotels Slovakia, as , which is the sole shareholder since foundation.
Foundation Intenda profit from rents and other recovery of its endowment assets distributed through grants to carry out its mission – young people’s projects in the development of civil society, the promotion of culture, art and science.
